CHIRAG ART FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization dedicated to using art, education, and cultural knowledge as tools for self-awareness, social cohesion, and long-term human development.
Founded by artist Chirag Chauhan, the foundation focuses on how creative practices can support individuals at every stage of life—children, youth, and adults—to better understand themselves, their communities, and their relationship with nature. Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful evolution begins with awareness: personal, collective, and generational.
We integrate visual arts, cultural studies, and experiential learning to help individuals develop emotional intelligence, critical perception, and a sense of responsibility toward society and the environment. By strengthening self-awareness and cultural understanding, we enable people to contribute more consciously to the growth of their families, communities, and the next generation.
Our approach views education not only as skill development, but as a process of shaping perception and values. Culture is treated not as tradition alone, but as a living framework that guides ethical decision-making and social harmony. About Chirag Chauhan
Founder & Director
Chirag Art Foundation
Chirag Chauhan is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural entrepreneur, and the Founder & Director of Chirag Art Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing healing, awareness, and community development through visual art and cultural education.
He holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, completing his MFA from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda—one of India’s most respected institutions for art and cultural studies. His academic training spans traditional and contemporary visual practices, forming a strong foundation for his interdisciplinary and socially engaged work.
Chirag’s practice includes painting, printmaking, filmmaking, and tattoo art, with a consistent focus on introspection, human psychology, and social observation. His work explores how visual language shapes emotion, perception, and behavior—both at the individual and collective level.
In parallel with his artistic journey, Chirag has worked across multiple ventures in the finance sector. This experience was pursued not merely for commercial growth, but to gain a grounded understanding of human behavior, decision-making, and the relationship between value, emotion, and economic systems. This dual exposure to art and finance has deeply informed his approach to sustainable cultural and social initiatives.
The foundation of Chirag Art Foundation emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Chirag began supporting artists facing financial and emotional distress. What began as direct assistance evolved into a structured organization committed to long-term impact. Today, the foundation operates as a registered Section 8 company with 12A accreditation, working to promote art awareness, strengthen artist–buyer ecosystems, and develop creative programs that support emotional well-being and cultural continuity.
Under his leadership, the foundation positions art not as an elite pursuit, but as a practical tool for self-awareness, education, and generational growth.
